Streamsong hopes USGA event is just the first

When the United States Golf Association brings one of its national amateur tournaments to Streamsong next month, the resort just west of Fort Meade is hoping it marks the beginning of a relationship that will bring even higher profile events to the area.
The second-ever U.S. Women’s Amateur Four Ball Championship will run from May 21-25, with a field of 128 golfers making up 64 teams. In four ball, two teams of two golfers play against each other. The team’s score is the lower of the two balls on each hole.
