There’s going to be more than 1,200 jeeps traipsing through the mud this weekend at Clear Springs — with the money going toward the Polk Sheriff’s Charities Inc. And, if anyone wants to get a sneak peek at some of them, Friday Fest’s Show ‘n’ Shine is the place to be.
“The first year we had 435 jeeps and we raised about $25,000 for the charity and $10,000 for the girls villa,” said Jeepin’ for Judd organizer and founder Sgt. Doug Tanner. “The second year it started to take off. We had 1,190 Jeeps and raised about $96,000.”
