BARTOW — Easter Sunday services were well underway at Burkett Chapple Primitive Baptist Church when a man dressed for services entered the church and said there was a fire taking place outside. At first it was thought he was saying a car was on fire, but it turned out he was in a car driving past the church when he spotted the flames.

Members of the congregation exited the church to see what was taking place, plus several moved their cars away from where the fire was taking place, by a fence that borders the church parking lot. At the same time 911 was called and the fire location was reported.
