Legendary educator gives priceless advice

LAKE WALES – Lake Wales teachers walked away with thousands of dollars in door prizes Friday during its annual Back to School Celebration and breakfast reception, but the advice they got from a legendary local teacher was what proved to be truly priceless.

Kay Brown, who taught in Lake Wales for three decades – 15 years as an English instructor and 15 years in home economics – told hundreds of teachers that their relationship with each student is a key.
