Clinic nurse wins prestigious award

Ask Margie Foreman, clinic nurse at James E. Stephens Elementary in Bartow why she loves her job, and she will say “It is nice to watch the kids grow.”

The 2018 Polk County School-Related Employee of the Year award winner is described as a nurse who “compassionately attends to all of the bumps and bruises, as well as tummy aches and loose teeth,” at the school, according to Rachel Pleasant, senior director of communications, Polk County Public Schools.
