WINTER HAVEN – Three legislators representing Polk County spoke about the 2018 Florida Legislative Session April 4 at the Chain of Lakes Complex. Legislative sessions, generally speaking, are the two months of the year when bills are sent to the governor to be signed into law.

In odd years they begin in early March and end in May. In even years like 2018, they can start whenever. The 2018 session began in January and ended in early March.
