Cheshire accepted into West Point

Nicholas Cheshire is the first ever Summerlin Academy cadet to get accepted on to the West Point Rifle Team. Nick's parents Phillip and Karen Cheshire celebrated their son signing a letter of intent April 25 in Bartow.

BARTOW – Since 1970 there have only been a handful of Summerlin Academy student cadets who have been accepted into the U.S. Army Academy at West Point. Of those, Nicholas Cheshire, 18 of Lakeland, is the first to be accepted on to the West Point Rifle Team at the same time.
