Polk County, cities may sue SWFWMD today

This slide shows that two billion gallons of water from Lake Hancock near Bartow flowed down Peace River and into the Gulf of Mexico in 2016. AUBURNDALE – The Polk Regional Water Cooperative, or PRWC, whose board is comprised of mayors and commissioners from every municipality in the county except for Frostproof, will be voting this afternoon on whether to file a lawsuit against the state in what could become the first shot of another Florida water war.
