Bartow City Commissioners will take up two resolutions at the Monday, July 21 regular meeting.

In the first, Resolution No. 14-3857-R, commissioners will vote whether to approve a “Final Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll.” This will be specifically for parcels lying within the Clear Springs Waterwater Improvement Assessment District.

Resolution No. 14-3858-R takes up the matter of fire protection services, facilities and programs. It provides authority, purpose and definitions in addition to several other aspects.

Outside those resolutions, nothing else is slated to be officially discussed. However, there will be two presentations. The first will be a proclamation that will be accepted by Interim Parks and Recreation Director Les Barr, that will proclaim July as Parks and Recreation Month.

The second will be a presentation of proclamation for the Union Academy Grand Reunion and will be presented to George Ronald Sabb, president of the Union Academy High School Alumni Association.

The work session that will take place at 5:30 p.m., prior to the 6:30 p.m., start of the regular meeting, has only two topics on the agenda. Both center around the Carver Rec Center. One involves replacing the roof while the other involves replacing the floor in the old gym.
