The 13th Annual East Polk County Economic Summit, hosted by Polk State College at their Winter Haven campus drew a crowd of more than 200 people.

Attended by businessmen, Polk State College officials and students, local government representatives – including Polk County Commissioner Melody Bell, Winter Haven City Commissioner Nat Birdsong, and Sam Killebrew, who was at the meeting a candidate for the Florida House of Representatives, the event featured keynote speakers Allen Sukholitsky, Goldman Sachs Asset Management vice president and senior market strategist, and Sean Snaith, director of University of Central Florida’s Institute for Economic Competitiveness.
