Lake Wales Lions participate in zone meeting

Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 7091 paint team gave the home of Sheri Duffy a fresh new look in one day. Painters include Ken Nelson, left; Sal Porta, George Marhefka, Tom Habina and Chris Eirich. Not present when this picture was taken was paint team member George Bunda. The Winter Have home of Sheri Duffy was given a fresh coat of paint thanks to a charitable endeavor of Knights of Columbus Council 7091 of Cypress Gardens.

Lake Wales new barber parlor opens

Lions Zone Chairman Paul Schmitt, chaired the Lions Club Zone meeting held this winter. Clubs participating were Lake Wales, Sebring, Lake Placid, Brandon and Wachula. The guest speaker was the Second Vice District Gov. Kenneth Engstrom discussing membership.

The Lions Clus, like many other clubs, are having a problem getting new members and as current members age, the club members are unable to continue the duties they once were able to perform.
