It’s getting there. It’s getting there. At this past Saturday’s weigh-in the scale read 178 pounds; three pounds fewer than the week before. All told, since I started on Dec. 30, I have relinquished 10½ pounds. The last time I broke 180 it was in the other direction.
Not only that, but I have upped the weights I lift three times. For example, on one machine I began at 30 pounds. Now it’s 50 pounds. While some of the machines I am sure I can increase another 10 pounds, on a few of the others I struggle. As an example, I might be able to get through the first set of reps with little problem until towards the end. However, midway by the second rep I have to pause. Sometimes it takes two, even three efforts to complete the rep, but I do it.
