The Bartow City Commission passed Resolution 13-3838R at the last commission meeting recognizing Oct. 31, Halloween Day, as the official day of trick-or-treat. The times they have established this year are from 6-8 p.m. There is no doubt that our streets will be filled with youngsters in search of the elusive sugary treats. In their pursuits of the tasty treats they will be wearing costumes that may limit their ability to see, so let’s watch for them.
As in years past, we at the Bartow Police Department encourage you to be extra safe. Parents go with your children, carry a flashlight, make sure that your little ones wear reflective clothing, visit the houses you are familiar with and make sure that you inspect each piece of candy prior to eating it.
