Food for Fines is off to a great start. We have already collected many cans and non-perishable items. More are needed. You still have a couple more weeks to bring them in to have your fines waived. This is a once a year opportunity, don’t let it go to waste.
This Thursday the teens will be having a Pajama Party upstairs and watching “Despicable Me 2.” The movie begins at 3 p.m. and popcorn and sodas will be served. Please keep the pajamas appropriate.
The library is now offering reading tutoring to kids, teens and adults! Anyone looking to improve their reading skills are welcome to sign up. This will be a one-on-one tutoring in a private, learning environment with a certified reading teacher. No pressure or high expectations, our only wish is to help you learn to read better and have the chance to excel in your education.
Our English tutoring class is underway. For non-native English speakers, we are offering a class on Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m. If you know of someone that needs some help learning English, please pass the word along. Please call the library at 863-534-0131 to sign-up. This class is free.
