Mr. Tullie Ray Jackson, Sr., 69, passed away at his home in Fort Meade on Jan. 1, 2014, from cancer.

Mr. Jackson was born March 13, 1944, in Fort Meade, Fla., and was the son of Tullie Edward and Mabel Adams Jackson.

Mr. Jackson resided his entire life in Fort Meade where he graduated from Fort Meade High School, Class of 1962. He was a retired power lineman for Mosaic and of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Jackson was an avid hunter and took pride in his family and his many friends. He is now resting in peace in the loving arms of our Savior.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 1⁄2 years, Claudia J. Jackson, Fort Meade, Fla.; son, Tullie Ray Jackson, Jr. and wife, Gail, Fort Meade, Fla.; daughter, Patricia Jackson, Fort Meade, Fla.; brother, Ralph E. Jackson, Sr. and wife Cecelia, Cleveland, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandi Rae Richerson and husband Jeremy, Justin Ray Hendricks and wife, Cierra, and Travis Ray Jackson; one great-grandchild, Jesse Richerson.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, Fla.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Saturday Jan. 4, 2014, in the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Pemberton officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fort Meade.
