Julie Birdsong Hooper, 67, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Bartow, Fla., of heart failure.

Julie was born on Jan. 27, 1947, in Plant City, Fla., and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade.

She was a homemaker and member of the First Church of God, Fort Meade.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Arno and Myrtle Birdsong in February 2014.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Hooper, Fort Meade, Fla.; brother, Mike Birdsong and wife, Judy, Fort Meade, Fla.; sister, Melanie Justice and husband Charles, North Augusta, S.C.

Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2014, at the First Church of God, 215 S. Perry Ave., Fort Meade.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary with the Rev. Travis Risner officiating.

Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
