While commissioners expressed surprise at the recent legal judgment against Charlotte County in the lawsuit brought by developers for Rotonda Villas, the plaintiffs’ legal counsel had no such misconceptions, saying the rule of law prevailed.
“The law was in our favor,” attorney Thomas Dougherty said. “Charlotte County, by its own admission, caused a substantial deprivation of the plaintiffs’ properties.”
