PORT CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte County Fair opened for the last day this season on Sunday, and folks like Caroline Mattingly and her family flocked to get in on the fun before it was over.

“It’s a great place to have fun with the kids,” Mattingly said. “Englewood and Port Charlotte don’t have a lot (of activities for children), so when the fair comes to town, they want to go.”
