The director of Drug Free Charlotte County believes the 12 percent of teens who claimed in a survey they abused prescription drugs could be too high because the question was too vague.
Drug Free Charlotte County conducts an annual Teen Norm Survey in which questions dealing with drug, alcohol and tobacco use are asked. However, this is the first year a question concerning prescription drugs was included in the survey, and the question needs to be changed to ensure more accurate results, said Diane Ramseyer, director of Drug Free Charlotte County.
