PUNTA GORDA — Pete LeClair literally wrote the book on carving caricatures out of wood.

The renowned caricature carver from Gardner, Mass., was on hand Sunday for the annual Charlotte County Woodcarver show at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. Beside him and some examples of his work were the three books he wrote on carving caricatures.
