PORT CHARLOTTE — When Monica Fraser pulled into her driveway Monday morning, she noticed a man on a bicycle about to ride past her house. Then she got out of her car and saw something horrific in her driveway that wasn’t there just seconds before.
“There were three little cats there, no longer than my hand,” the 77-year-old said Monday, as she pointed to bloodstains in front of her home on the 3500 block of Collingswood Boulevard. One kitten already was dead, she said. Another, its face mangled, died a short time later. And the third — who was gasping for air — died en route to an animal hospital.
