More arrests, charges in Harbour Heights cases
PUNTA GORDA — Detectives added more charges for two 17-year-old Harbour Heights boys who were arrested last month and are alleged to have been involved in even more incidents. In mid-April, detectives arrested Jacob Lee Whaley, 17, of the 3000 block of Perdue Terrace in Punta Gorda; Mark Anthony Hogsett, 17, of the 27400 block of San Marino Drive in Punta Gorda; and Anthony Raymond Hall, 18, of the 3000 block of Perdue Terrance in Punta Gorda, on a variety of charges stemming from several incidents of stolen vehicles and vehicle burglaries. On May 6, detectives charged Hall, who was still in the Charlotte County Jail, with additional counts of burglary of a conveyance, burglary of an unoccupied structure, burglary of a conveyance while armed and petit theft in five more cases.
Tuesday, detectives re-arrested Hogsett and Whaley on multiple charges stemming from seven additional cases. As with Hall, the charges included more counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure, burglary of a conveyance while armed and petit theft. Hall is still being held at the Charlotte County Jail on a total $157,500 bond. Hogsett and Whaley were turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
