The DeSoto Memorial Hospital board tabled discussion of hiring St. Petersburg-based financial firm Raymond James to help find a serious partner for a future sale or merger. The hospital, which only received one bid in response to its Request For Proposal earlier this year, hopes Raymond James’ large size and influence could attract more serious bidders.

Raymond James’ Pete Lawson and Sharon Ioannidis provided a brief presentation to the board, introducing the firm and outlining the services they can provide in the hospital’s attempt to attract more serious bidders.
