The Twentieth Century Literary Club met at the beautiful home of Pat Moore on Oct. 23. Ladies were welcomed into the whimsical backyard filled with plants and yard decorations amidst the quilting cottage and offered a choice of beverages. Following a blessing given by DeAnna Smith, ladies were seated at tables in the downstairs areas and served dinner by hostesses Shelly Baumann, Rosanne Collins and Pat Moore. The delicious meal consisted of arugula salad in Parmesan cups with citrus dressing, pork mojo, butter carrots, scalloped potatoes and rolls and finished with pumpkin cheesecake. Beaded bookmarks at each place setting were offered as favors for the evening.

President Linda Waldron opened the meeting by expressing gratitude to the hostesses. The roll call, the collection of the dues, the treasurer’s report and the reading of the minutes followed. The minutes were amended to include the Fall Treat Bags presented and the delicious banana pudding served at the September meeting. October birthday wishes were given to Nora Cail, Michele Keen, Lois Heine, Frances Pooser and Irene Pooser.
