While we may not all agree with some of the shenanigans occurring in Washington these days, there is one local dignitary we can all get behind. Zachery Cobb is a student in Kelly Bradley’s class at Meadow Park Elementary in Port Charlotte. His artwork now graces the walls of the Department of Education in Washington, D.C.
Zachery is one of nine students in the United States and eight international students whose artwork was selected as winners in VSA’s “UBUNTU: Yo soy…Je sius…I am…Because You Are” children’s 2017 art competition. The mission of VSA is to provide, support, and champion arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. Their vision is to create a world in which arts are universally accessible.
