The Twentieth Century Literary Club met at Peddler’s Boutique on Oct. 17. Hostesses were Linda Williams and Pam Ames, assisted by DeAnna Smith.

Following the year’s theme of “Oh, The Places You’ll Go,” a sign proclaimed “Welcome to the World’s Fair, Chicago, 1893” setting the theme for the evening. Table decorations featured foods introduced at the fair including Cracker Jacks, Juicy Fruit gum and candied apples which were also distributed as favors at the conclusion. A World’s Fair dinner consisted of hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and ice cream cones.
