The Arcadia L & E Club members were treated to a “dose of laughter medicine” at their November meeting. Arlene Kincaid, former DeSoto County speech therapist and talented poet, brought the medicine of laughter to the group as she shared poems and short stories from her published books. Her works include Odds and Ends, Bits and Pieces (2011); Left Overs from Odds and Ends (2011) and Tid Bits and Pieces (2013).

Kincaid has a knack for discovering the good in everything around her. Her life has been devoted to effectively translating ideas through poetry. Everywhere she has worked, she has been called upon to relay thoughts and events through the medium of poetry. She is well known to local schools as she delights in reading to children and encouraging boys and girls to write daily in journals.
