Kim Campanella owns the Bicycle Center in Port Charlotte and said she was surprised when a Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services sanitation specialist with the Bureau of Food and Meat Inspection recently visited her shop. He said she needed a food permit to continue selling those prepackaged nutritional supplements.
