The L & E Literary Club met at the home of Nancy Ambler on Feb. 4. Co-hostesses were Edith Wildt and Angela Waters. The buffet table was set with Valentine decorations and a delicious sour cream pound cake was served with nuts, chocolate candy and coffee.

The year’s theme is “Investigating Area Literary Talent.” Jane Adams introduced visiting local author Michelle Lindo-Rice from Port Charlotte. Michelle is a pastor’s child, a dedicated Christian, and an energetic educator. She was a teacher in New York. She taught at Laguardia Community College and is currently an Exceptional Education teacher in Port Charlotte. She is also the mother of two teen-aged sons.
