• The varsity baseball team won a game and lost two close games. The win was a blowout over Southeast 22-2. Coach Trey Hill said, “Every bad break and bad play that we had go against us in the season all went our way in this one game. Every ball we hit was between the fielders, where usually they are right at them.” The two losses were each by three runs, 3-0 against Hardee and 6-3 to Lemon Bay.

• The junior varsity baseball team came so close to another victory last week, but came up short in their games at Community Christian and at home in extra innings against Lemon Bay this past Monday. Both games had an identical 8-7 score. The team also had a bad game against Hardee, losing 11-1 after beating the Wildcats earlier in the season.
