The Twentieth Century Literary Club met at the country home of Linda Waldron on March 27. Members enjoyed a stroll through Linda’s blooming spring yard. They were welcomed by Linda and cohostess Betty Aaron into a home beautifully decorated in blues and yellows and filled with tulips in anticipation of an evening of “A Spring Trip to Spain.” This year each meeting has been a reminder of “Oh, The Places You Will Go,” the club’s annual theme. Linda provided delightful stories of her family’s recent visit to Spain.
She served a delicious dinner of paella, spinach with garbanzo beans, pork with apples, rolls and Italian bread, green salad with cherry tomatoes, potato salad surrounded by Caesar salad, and Italian drinks, coffee and tea. The desserts included strawberry pie, colorful handmade macaroons, Jordan almonds, turrón and lemon cream almonds.
