The DeSoto Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved confirmed Larry Taylor as the county’s public safety chief. Taylor had been serving as interim chief after Glenn Prescott retired in August, and was the deputy chief for nearly two years prior to that.
“The selection committee carefully reviewed the qualifications of all our candidates, and we strongly believe Taylor has the ideas, innovation and education we’re looking for to move the public safety department forward in the future,” said County Administrator Guy Maxcy.
