Citing the desire to avoid possible legal liability in the future, the Arcadia City Council voted 4-1 to continue the pay raises given to 21 city employees by former City Administrator Judith Jankosky.
Interim City Administrator Tom Slaughter and Ashley Killmon from the Finance Department explained the total cost of the increases, including benefits and taxes, is $41,600 annually. Slaughter said staff recommended that council approve the raise based on a variety of factors.
