Questions from a concerned DeSoto Memorial Hospital staff member during DMH’s board of directors meeting Thursday sparked an impromptu discussion on the hospital’s long-term plans to secure its financial future.
The employee addressed the board during the public comments portion of the meeting and asked if the hospital had any specific plans in place to increase its revenue base. “The staff sees their paychecks going down and employees being sent home on furlough,” she said. “I’d like to know what you are doing to ensure our long-term success.”
