The Arcadia City Council will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Monday in council chambers to finalize a formal hiring process and gather questions to be asked during interviews with city administrator finalists.
The move came after City Clerk Penny Delaney asked the council for guidance on how to move forward in the hiring process. Several members suggested the first step would be to come up with a list of identical questions for each candidate. “We need to come up with this list first and foremost, and in my opinion the questions should be the same for each applicant,” said Councilman Keith Keene. “We’re faced with a unique challenge as four of our finalists are currently living outside Florida. I’d like to see us meet separately so we can put a structured hiring process in place.”
