ENGLEWOOD — After seeing that a 13.5-foot hammerhead was caught locally, resident Randy St. Pierre has concerns about swimming in Englewood.

“I think seeing such big sharks being lured in onto the beach, even if it is only for a few minutes, will scare people,” said the 83-year-old retired schoolteacher. “More and more people are fishing for sharks from the shoreline. I don’t like it. I think it should be banned. People are catching pretty big sharks so close to where people swim.”
