Wilma J. Revell, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Arcadia, Fla.

She was born June 26, 1920, in Lansing, Mich., moving to Arcadia, in the early 1930s.

Wilma retired as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, from G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital. Upon her retirement, she began providing in home nursing care. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, sewing and above all, she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Wilma was devoted to her church and her Lord. She was a member of New Day Baptist Church, Arcadia.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Frances L. (Francis) Howard of Arcadia; brother, Robert Palmer of Arcadia; two sisters, Pauline Barfield and Janet (Red) Ballard, both of Arcadia; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Revadee Raymond Revell; her parents, Charles William and Elizabeth Coggins Palmer; two brothers, George Palmer and Raymond Palmer; and a sister, Esther Hinson.

Visitation was held Monday evening, Sept. 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, with the Rev. Ken Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
