Shirley J. “Nancy” Oliver, 75, a resident of Lake Suzy, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, peacefully at her home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, to Nellie and Vincent May.
Shirley was a retired Registered Nurse for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Charles Oliver; daughter, Heather Brinkley; sister, Sonia May; nephew; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
The family invites you to share in the celebration of Shirley’s life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at St. Nathaniel’s Episcopal Church, 4200 S. Biscayne Drive, North Port, Fla. Committal services followed by inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, Fla. The Rev. Jean Hite will officiate.
