Robert “Remus” Griffin Jr., 54, a lifelong resident of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013.
He was born June 26, 1959, in Arcadia, and attended school in DeSoto County, Fla.
Remus worked as a truck driver in the cattle industry. He enjoyed fishing, bullfighting, photography and freelance investigating for a variety of newspapers and news agencies.
Remus is survived by his two daughters, Laura Griffin of Avon Park, Fla., and Chelsey Griffin of Tampa, Fla.; brother, R.L. Griffin of Arcadia; sister, Kay (Marcus) Harrison of Lake Placid, Fla.; three grandchildren; nieces, Casey Harrison and Tamera Turtle; and nephew, Todd Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Remus Griffin Sr. and Norma Jean Cutchen Griffin; brother, Charlie Griffin; and nieces, Kimberly Malnory and Jennifer Kay Griffin.
