Gary Gammad, 52, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at St. Paul’s Catholic Hospital, Tuguegarao, Philippines.
He was born Dec. 1, 1961, in Long Beach, Calif.
Gary retired as a sergeant for the Hardee Correctional Institution, where he worked for 26 years. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family. He was of the Catholic faith.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Gammad of Arcadia, Fla.; son, Gary Gammad Jr. of Arcadia; three daughters, Courtney Gammad and Heather Gammad, both of Arcadia, and Ashley Morgan of Wharton, N.J.; brothers, Anthony, Gerald, Ryan and Rodney Gammad, all of Sacramento, Calif.; mother, Remedios Gammad of Philippines; and one grandchild, Kason Hodges of Arcadia. He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Gammad; and a sister, Vicky Lee Dukes.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL 34266. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Waters officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com
