Robert “Bob” Votta Sr., 71, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Everett, Mass., the son of Louis and Phyllis Votta.
Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran, and moved to Port Charlotte, Fla., in 1974. He was the owner/operator of Robert Votta Construction. Bob was an avid gun collector, a Corvette enthusiast, and an active supporter with St. Jude. He will be remembered for having a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor.
Bob will be greatly missed by his son, Robert (Pattie) Votta; daughters, Brenda (Doug) Nease and Kim Votta; sisters, Carol Scourtas and Donna Keene; grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Danielle, Michael and Amanda; great-grandson, Parker; and companion, Roseanne Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, with Father Jim Williamson officiating.
