Michael Travis Brooks, 29, was sentenced to serve two years in state prison after pleading no contest to a charge of fraud for giving false ownership information to a pawn dealer.
According to records from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, Clerk of Court and Department of Corrections, Brooks was staying at a man’s house for a few nights in 2016. During that time, the man moved his table saw to a locked shed out back. A few days later, he noticed the table saw was missing.
