James Arthur Barrett Jr., 27, was recently sentenced to serve three years in state prison for several burglary, theft and forgery charges.
According to documents from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and the Clerk of Courts, Barrett went through the drive-through window of a local bank to cash an $800 check. A little later that day, he drove through again to cash another check, this time for $1,542.
