DCSO receives flag for supporting US troops abroad

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office recently had the good fortune of welcoming Dep. Tim Hilgeman back to work. In addition to being a valued member of the Sheriff’s Office, Hilgeman also serves with the U.S. Air Force reserves and was deployed to Afghanistan. On Oct. 17, he presented Sheriff Will Wise and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office with the U.S. Standard that was flown at his base in Afghanistan.

The flag that was presented was flown over the main entry control point on June 1, 2013, of the 376 Expeditionary Security Forces Detachment 1 at Mazar-e-Sharif, Camp John Pratt in Afghanistan. The flag was presented to Sheriff Wise in appreciation of the dedication and support of the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.
