Cross retires from police force

Sergeant David Cross, left, retired this week after 20 yewars of service to the Arcadia Police Department. He was given a plaque by Marshal Matt Anderson to commemorate his many years of loyal service to the city.

Sergeant David Cross retired from the City of Arcadia Police Department after 20 years of service. He started working for the APD as a full time Police Officer on May 27, 1994. He was promoted to Sergeant on May 22, 1998. On Saturday, Sergeant Cross worked his last day as Sergeant of the Road Patrol Division. Sergeant Cross plans to continue serving the City of Arcadia by joining the Arcadia Police Auxiliary program.

The City Council recognized Sergeant Cross and his years of service at the May 20 Council meeting. On Friday, Marshal Matt Anderson presented Sergeant Cross with a plaque commemorating his years of service. Thank you, Sergeant Cross, for your faithful service to the City of Arcadia.
