The DeSoto County volleyball team had to hang on for a 3-1 win over Hardee to advance to the district finals. The team will play Sebring for the championship and would advance to the first round of regional play.

The Lady Bulldogs had beaten the Wildcats in three straight in their first meeting and had to go five sets for a season sweep at Hardee. It appeared as if the Bulldogs would make quick work of the semi-final game with wins in the first two sets. The Bulldogs struggled midway in the third set and it carried over to the final set.
