Arturo Vargas is the new DeSoto County High boys varsity soccer coach.
And so far things are coming together with his team. Despite an 8-4 loss at Lemon Bay in a preseason game last week, Vargas was happy. “I like what I saw. We have a good team, but we still need to fill a couple of spots. We haven’t practiced as a team yet because some players were coming out from fall sports. We have potential. Our mids and forwards are probably the strongest and we have a few things to work on yet. I like what I saw, I really do.
