It’s beginning to become a pattern—the DeSoto County JV boys basketball team gets an early lead, only to lose it in the second half. The game mirrored the Port Charlotte loss with nearly the same score, as the Bulldogs lost another nail-biter, 62-59.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-0 lead over Avon Park, thanks to a pair of treys from Ellis Hodges and kept that 10-point advantage at the end of the period, 17-7. They even added to that lead with a 28-16 halftime advantage.
