Varsity Bulldogs split soccer matches

A shutout win is always good for any team in any sport. The DeSoto County varsity boys’ soccer team found that out as they were on both ends of the whitewashing last week.

They were dumped 1-0 by Lemon Bay on a very cold and windy night where the Bulldogs actually outplayed the Mantas yet still lost the game. The Mantas had just one shot on goal and it found the back of the net. The Bulldogs had seven shots that were all turned away. Most of the game was played on the Mantas’ half of the pitch, yet the Bulldogs were unable to tie the game.
