The Lemon Bay at DeSoto County boys junior varsity basketball game on Jan. 17 felt eerily similar to their Dec. 10 game against the Mantas. Both games ended with an 18-point win for the Bulldogs, and the final score in both games was 52-34.

Nines were wild in both games. In the first meeting, the Bulldogs held a nine-point lead at the half, and again took a nine-point lead into the locker room in the rematch. The first matchup was tied at nine after the first quarter. In the second meeting, DeSoto scored nine points in the second period and nine more in the third period before exploding with a 19-9 onslaught in the fourth quarter.
